Do You Have One Hour Per Week to Make a Difference in a Child's Life?

We are so excited about a new endeavour at Forest Green School! We are currently working hard to develop an in-school mentorship program.

Mentoring is a wonderful way to be a positive role model and make a difference in the life of a child in your community. Your commitment of one hour per week would help foster a positive relationship for the child (mentee) while working with you on a one-on-one basis.
There will be a focus on:

  • Relationship building.
  • Fun activities, such as puzzles, crafts, or whatever passion or hobby you may be able to bring as part of your skill set.
  • Literacy/numeracy support.

Mentoring is an incredibly rewarding way to involve yourself in your community and the benefits shine through for both the mentor and the mentee. We are looking for parents, community members and community organizations to volunteer for one hour per week to mentor a child in our school. Please contact either Lesley or Jenn if you have one hour per week to make a difference.
