Hot Dog Fundraiser for Healing Seed
On Wednesday, November 28, we are hosting a hot dog fundraiser lunch. Students who bring $3 on this day will receive a hot dog and juice. $5 will purchase two hot dogs and a juice. All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to the Healing Seed. The Healing Seed is the organization that provides our classrooms with the fruit bowls for our students to access throughout the school day. If you have any questions feel free to contact the school.
Our SWAT (Student Wellness Action Team) has planned a pajama day on this Wednesday, November 28. All students are invited to wear their pajamas on this day and show their support and participate in this community building event.
During Tuesday December 11th and Wednesday December 12th The Forest Green School Fundraising Society will be hosting the Christmas shop! This event is available to all grades. Each participating student can shop and wrap 2 gifts to take home and give to their chosen recipient/s.
The fee to participate is $10.00 per student, pre-payment for this event is required by Friday November 30th. We encourage online sign up and pre-payment via our hot lunch system; www.forestgreen.hotlunches.net.

Accessing Report Cards Through the Parent Portal
We wanted to remind you that we will not be printing report cards for this reporting period. You are able to access your child’s report card via the Parent Portal on Friday, November 30, 2018 after school. If you have not set up your Parent Portal there will be a letter sent home containing instructions, your login and password. For families that have set up their Parent Portal previously you may access the site using this link, https://powerschool.psd70.ab.ca/public/, or through the Forest Green School or PSD70 websites in order to view your child’s report card.
Your parent portal account gives you access to your child’s report card, also the ability to sign forms digitally, change contact information and view your child’s attendance records. While you are in the Parent Portal viewing your child’s report card, please take the time to view the Demographics section and verify that all of your child’s information is current and that the Emergency contact information is completed. If you do not have access to a computer or online via a personal device to receive your child’s report card, please contact the school via your child’s agenda, email, or phone to request a printed copy of your term 1 report card.
