December 1 - News Update
Hot Dog Fundraiser for Healing Seed
As you are aware we recently hosted a hot dog fundraiser. We had great participation so want to say a huge thank-you to our families who supported and our volunteers who made it happen! All of the proceeds are being donated to the Healing Seed who partners with us to provide fruit bowls in every classroom.
A reminder that pre-payment for the Christmas shop is required by this Friday, November 30th.
The Christmas shop event will take place during Tuesday December 11th and Wednesday December 12th. This event is available to all grades. Each participating student can shop and wrap 2 gifts to take home and give to their chosen recipient/s.
The fee to participate is $10.00 per student. PLEASE NOTE; this event is pre-payment ONLY.
If you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact us at; email@example.com.
Wishing you a happy holiday season!
We are very excited to notify you that Pet Therapy will be starting in the Grade 1 classroom starting on Monday, December 3. Mrs. Coops and her dog, Oliver (a 10 year old Bichon/Shih-Tzu), are a certified Pet Therapy team with the Pet Therapy Society of Northern Alberta and will be bringing this extra special support to the Grade 1 class. Oliver will be with Mrs. Coops at all times which means all other Forest Green students will simply be able to see Oliver while in passing in the hallways, when she is out on supervision during recess times or when she is working with other small groups such as the Student Wellness Action Team. Students will be allowed to pet Oliver but will be encouraged to ask first. Please contact Mrs. Coops if you have any questions or concerns about Oliver coming to Forest Green School to provide Pet Therapy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We wanted to remind you that report cards are now available online through the parent portal. We encourage you to review your child’s report card and if you have any questions or difficulty accessing the report card please let us know.
