September 6, 2016 - The Board of Trustees is pleased to share with all education stakeholders the highlights of our recent Board meeting held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. The adopted minutes will be available on our website following the next Regular Board meeting.

  • The Board held its annual Organizational Meeting in addition to the regular Board Meeting. Trustee Eric Cameron was elected Board Chair by acclamation. Ron Heinrichs was elected Vice Chair.

"I am very honoured to be back. I very much enjoy working with our Trustees," stated Board Chair Eric Cameron.

"They’ve been a tremendously supportive group and hard working. I feel privileged to be able to act in the role of Board Chair.  It’s been wonderful working with Kathleen as Vice Chair as she’s been a hard worker.  I love the balance of having a Trustee representing the rural areas of Parkland School Division and Ron Heinrichs gives us that as well.  He will bring his wealth of experience and his strong work ethic.  I do thank Kathleen for her efforts and look forward to working with Ron.  We’ll continue to work together with all trustees…that’s the important thing, working as a team."

"This will be my seventh year as a Trustee and it does take a while to learn all the ropes... everything from policies to what's expected of you as a Trustee and what you can do to help further the work of Parkland School Division and the work that the Board does," said Trustee Ron Heinrichs.
